Abstract Oarisma is a genus of grass skippers belonging to the butterfly family Hesperiidae, primarily found in the Americas. The genus contains approximately 14 described species and includes those formerly classified under the genus Copaeodes. There are about 14 described species in Oarisma , found in the Americas. [ 2 ] [ 1 ] [ 3 ] In 2019, the Taxonomic Report of the International Lepidoptera Survey published information placing species of the genus Copaeodes into Oarisma . These species are still sometimes treated as members of the (former) genus Copaeodes .
