Emma Peschel (born January 20, 2004) is an American college ice hockey defenceman for Ohio State .
Early life [ edit ]
Peschel was born to Gina and Pat Peschel and has two siblings, Will and Jack. She attended Benilde-St. Margaret's in St. Louis Park, Minnesota , where she played ice hockey for four years, and lacrosse for three years. [ 1 ]
Playing career [ edit ]
Peschel began her college ice hockey career for Ohio State during the 2022–23 season . During her freshman year she appeared in all 41 games and recorded six goals and six assists. During the 2023–24 season , in her sophomore year, she recorded seven goals and 16 assists in 36 games. [ 1 ] She helped lead the Buckeyes to their second NCAA women's ice hockey tournament championship in 2024 . [ 2 ]
During the 2024–25 season , in her junior year, she recorded eight goals and 26 assists in 40 games and was named to the All-WCHA first team. [ 3 ] Following the season she was named a CCM/AHCA Second Team All-American. [ 4 ]
During the 2025–26 season , in her senior year, she recorded a career-high ten goals and 29 assists in 34 games and was named to the All-WCHA first team. [ 5 ] During February 2026, she led all defenders in scoring with three goals and nine assists and was named the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) Defender of the Month. [ 6 ] She was tied for second nationally among defenders in points with 39. Following the season she was named a CCM/AHCA First Team All-American. [ 7 ] During the championship game of the 2026 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey tournament against Wisconsin she assisted on the game-tying goal. She was subsequently named to the NCAA All-Tournament team . [ 8 ]
International play [ edit ]
Morrow represented the United States at the 2022 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship where she was scoreless in five games and won a silver medal. [ 1 ]
